Job offers don’t always go to the most experienced candidate

Job offers don’t always go to the obvious and most experienced candidate.
A lot of the time, they go to the person who prepared properly and demonstrated they wanted it the most.
Some of the best interview advice is also the simplest:
– Research the company and its products, and know why you want to work there
– Understand the role, and be ready to explain why you’re a good fit
– Be ready to deliver a clear, relevant overview of your career history
– Know your targets, achievements and key successes
– Have questions prepared so you fully understand the role and expectations
– And most importantly… be genuine and be yourself
I think candidates sometimes overcomplicate interviews trying to give the “perfect” answer, when all the interviewer really wants is for you to relax, be yourself and let your personality come through.
Preparation builds confidence.
And confidence nearly always improves interviews.
